The best thing about air plants is their display versatility. These products will bring out the best in your air plants, showing them off to their fullest advantage.
If you want a modern display with open sides for optimum air circulation, but don’t want to jimmy-rig a stand to hang the display, look no further. This diamond, geometric display comes with a stand and pairs perfectly with air plants, plus, the glass-less sides provides your air plant with needed air flow.
METAL STANDLooking for a wall display? This frame fits the bill. Measuring in at just under 8″ square the no-rust, metal grid is just right for creating your own living art. The frame comes with hangers, but is also stable sitting on a shelf. A single frame creates a unique display, and a trio of air plant frames triples the impact.
AIR PLANT FRAMEA glass terrarium, such as this teardrop terrarium with a large opening allowing for plenty of ventilation, is an elegant, yet simple way to display a single air plant. This terrarium was my first introduction to air plants.
GLASS TERRARIUMCare Tools
Air plants don’t require a lot of gadgets, but there are a few items I have purchased that have made caring for them easier.
Air plants prefer slightly acidic water with a pH between 5.5 and 6.0. To give my air plants the best care possible I purchased this digital pH meter. Sure enough, I had to add a bit of acidity, in the form of vinegar, to my water. If your water is too acidic, add a bit of baking soda. Be to read the instructions carefully to ensure an accurate reading.
pH MeterFloral adhesive is handy to have on hand for air plant projects. This glue is fast drying and will keep your air plants in place for air plant projects such as gluing air plants to driftwood and grapevine wreathes.
FLORAL ADHESIVEAir plants for sure, don’t need a lot of fertilizer, a little goes a long way. Fertilizing once a month is adequate. The benefits of fertilizing is enhanced flowers and faster plant growth. Just take care not to overdo it. A burned plant is a real bummer!
