Harrisii
Just because the harrisii is hardy don’t think it isn’t special. This plant was named for Bill Harris an air plant enthusiast who was murdered in Guatemala. The sage green leaves grow in a symmetrical pattern and show off a profusion of silvery trichomes, or sponge-like cells that absorb water for the plant. Although the leaves are stiff, they aren’t pokey. Rather, the leaves are soft, like antlers in velvet.
The regular shape, pale green color, silvery sheen and hardiness all make the harrisii an ideal choice for display.
